We have been given an ex racer, although she never actually raced. Its a perm loan with the option to buy for a nominal sum. She has had 4 months off when we picked her up last weekend. The people who had her had no idea on how to look after a horse never mind a tb so we agreed to take her and see what we could do.
My daughter and I are just going to do light work over the rest of the winter as we do not have an arena then pick it up a bit in the spring.
Susan rode her quietly around the field for the first time today and she was a star.
Hope you like the pics.

Good luck and well done for offering a home to one of these lovely horses. I have one which was even skinnier than yours when I got her. She has ballooned in weight and now looks rather like a mare in foal! I fed her Alfa A oil and speedibeet and ad lib haylage - no coarse feed. She is a different horse and is getting a real gleam to her coat. Enjoy your new horse x

Thanks for all the nice comments, we have agreed a sum bless the people who had her had no idea and fed her apples and carrots. She is very sweet and easy to manage so hopefully I will post a few pictures next spring on how she is looking.

We are hoping Ellie will be Susans next PC horse as she has a fantastic pony already but this is her last year in ponies so plenty time.
