New horse fly repellent collar

Has anyone tried the new collars? - They are ment to last 4-6 weeks and deter everything.

Will work out cheaper than bottle of fly spray every few weeks.


Just wondered if anyone has any feedback.

I used to use something similar many years ago - not sure how effective they were though as my youngster thought it was a good game to pull them off his field companions at the earliest opportunity.
 
i would be interested to see if anyone else has used them? looking at reviews online, some praise them, some say it did nothing.
I think the ponies would probably pull them off my horses, but kind of temped to try them...
 
Hi, I bought some a few weeks back, they seemed to work around the head but no evidence of the protection spreading down the body as claimed. My boys have worn them for about three weeks and I think they are starting to loose potency now, however it doesn't matter as the haflinger decided to trash his last night and broke the fasteners!lol If your horse has a big neck you may struggle to fit them, the brand I bought were quite short and only fitted on the last hole.
