New horse got vetted today

So, horse got vetted today. Vet rand and said he passed all the heart/eyes/teeth etc... and was spot on and fine.
Then when doing the trot up he was lame on his front left, but when i rode him sat, he managed to cut himself pretty bad on the cornet band, and also he was shod thismorning after loosing a shoe last week.
Asked vet and she said she is 99.9% sure that he is only lame due to being shod and cut as the slight heat is only in his foot.
Vet said she would be happy to come back next week to carry on vetting as she is sure he will be sound by then.

So, i think that is what we are going to do as owner is happy to wait until next week.

Grrr that must be so frustrating! But at least you know there aren't any other underlying problems and he should pass next week...and then he will be yours yours yours forever!

I'm in the same position. Had a horse vetted yesterday and he knocked himself in the field the day before and is sore over that fetlock. Now gotta wait nearly 2 weeks before the repeat vetting. Sooo frustrating! Like you, I'm thinking horsey shopping is the way forward (with receipts kept just in case the vetting doesn't go to plan). I'm not sure I can cope with the suspense that long!!!
