Waaahhhhh just 7 days until I get my horse! I am so ridiculously excited, I have no idea how im going to sleep next week!

Horsey has had his new shoes on, his vetting and his flu / tetanus injections but needs a booster in a couple of weeks. I know that Park vets do a 'half price' thing when they're in your area, but half of what price? Anybody know?

If not then feel free to just comment with some excitement and enthusiasm for my lovely, hairy, cow-like horsey that im having in 7 dayyyys (just in case I didnt mention that bit!!) x

Congratulations!!!!!!! So exciting!!! My first ever horse arrived last Monday so I truly understand your excitement :) :) :) agree don't know how u will sleep till then

Thank you! And how exciting! This is my first one since the pit pony I had when I was 11 so I completely get that we are feeling the same thing! What did you get? How are you two getting on, is it everything you hoped it would be? x

Congratulations on getting your new horse. This week is going to go so slow for you. The half price depends on if it all half price or half price call out.
I hope you have many years of fun with your horse, i'm sure you will. I started with 1 horse, i now have 4. You need to watch out as they are very addictive and you end up collecting them :D.

Oh he is wonderful it is an amazing experience I got a rising 7 Connemara gelding 15hh he is so laid back and we are getting on great, he is starting to come over when he sees me come through the gate and I can't stop just looking at him. He has been through a lot of moves recently so he is just having some chill out time and saddle fitting at end of the month, can't wait to get out on some good hacks :) What are you getting? What are you planning to do with him?

thanks for the well wishes :)

How exciting moogleberry! Yours sounds lovely :) im having a 15 years young WPB coloured 14.3 gelding called Gypsy.... 6 days and counting!! He's a sweetheart, going to need some schooling I think and plenty of hacking and I just saw the wonderful words on a yard email 'Christmas Gymkhana' so we shall certainly be attempting that!!

6 days and counting :)

xx

Why not ring Park and ask them how the half price callout works?

Excellent vets BTW.

Haha I know silly but that would probably need to be done tomorrow... Was hoping maybe somebody would know over the weekend (was all excited and thinking and planning and organising yesterday so just trying to work it all out!). Will give them a call tomorrow to arrange :) x

I think it works out about £15.
If your still going to stocklands, hang on before you book with parks as lee from b&w equine does a monthly clinic there and you won't have to pay any call out.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the new arrival!! X

Oooh thanks Menolly! thats great. And would be very handy if Lee is there monthly! what does he do, just anything that needs doing? what else happens there? I know they do dressage clinic things and I have just heard word of a christmas gymkhana (which im hoping isnt just for kids!!)

Oh and here is my boy Gypsy :)

There will be plenty of trimmed, cleaned, pulled and prettified pictures coming soon though!! x

Aw he's very handsome! Haha,I dont think there is many children there but i can see him in Christmas fancy dress racing the ponies!!
I did the wear it pink fun dressage there last month and it was really relaxed and the one time I could dress my gelding in pink!

Yeh,my friend had a tooth extraction in the clinic so i think he just does whats needed and it might give you extra pennies to buy all the things you Just 'HAVE' to buy for a new pony!
I followed lee when he left parks and I really rate him but I also never had any bad experiences with parks so I think we are pretty lucky with vets in our area.

& Lee is a brilliant vet....just a shame he cant be persuaded to move to West Wales :)

I used to use Park Vets but don't anymore. I use Bushy vets now who do halfprice call out on Tuesdays and if there are 3 or more customers there is no call out fee at all. Their vet, Lee, is fabulous - he can inject a horse without it flinching, and he's happy to talk horse for ages. I can thoroughly recommend them.

Haha thanks all for your comments, and thanks Waffles! Where is your yard? I am really excited about going to Stocklands, I don't think I'll mind a busy yard too much but if it doesn't work out its always handy to have options :) feel free to DM it if you prefer x
