He has not only tried to jump over his stable door, but tried to climb over the gate in the outdoor school when i was 'trying' to do some join up etc with him

But today, turned him out, the horses next door were out being ridden, so he thought it best to go and look for them, and cleared the 5 bar gate in order to do so, i was quite impressed with his jump! not his behaviour

I am in no doubt now that he has serious seperation anxiety.
Also was leading him along prior to this when a horse was lead past us. he decided he would prefer to go with this horse, and reared up when i tried to control him! Not happy with his behaviour when he is like this.

On lighter note, he was a really good boy ridden. Even popped a few small jumps.

Oooh i use rescue remedy! that's an idea!

He is usually ok to lead around, but today he was being a *!&%£$ in general. seriously thinking about sending him back, i paid quite a lot for him (too much IMO now) and he can't be stabled due to going loopy and trying to jump out and jumps out of fields etc. Needs re-schooling and although is calm to ride, there are too many bad points with him. I wanted a nice placid chap to get back into it on! Not psycho horsey

Anxiety in stable/field is a real pain - I know first hand - I had a chestnut TB gelding who suffered very serious separation anxiety just like your horse he would jump out of places, he would thrash himself around his stable if even one horse left the yard (there could be another 12 in stables around him) he used to sweat from tip of ear to bottom of hooves with the stress, on the upside like yours he was an angel to ride - i hacked him alone/company absolutely anywhere but I just couldn't deal with the anxiety of him, he used to stress me out big time - I sold him eventually to a lovely lady who has him out 24/7 in large herd, and he's a totally different horse - she suits his lifestyle.

Yes i will try to hack alone, it's such a shame because he is a nice horse and i feel a bit sorry for him. But it does stress me out and makes me worry. I suffer from mild psoriasis and it was nearly going but has all flared up!!

I thought about trying my Reiki on him, but can't get him to stand still long enough! My daughter, who is 15 is also scared of him after he bit her trying to escape the stable.

I have got over the getting upset over it and disapointment now. and am trying to deal with it best i can but he keeps adding new things to his list of bad points
