Some of you may remember I have been looking for a horse to loan over the Summer due to my own horse needing time off.

Today we picked up my New 'summer' horse. He has very kindly been loaned to me until September.

So here he is, the new boy Lanky

Luckily Charlie has tons of rugs and they fit Lanky so at least he won't get to soggy tonight

He seems to have settled in straight away and is pretty laid back (did find the concrete yard a bit scary though

It's all down to my Boss, he brought his horse off them a couple of months ago but he had actually gone there to try Lanky. He brought the other horse as he was younger and more suited to him. Lanky was still for sale so I was allowed him on loan

His racing name is Lannkaran, they just call him Lanky though

How on earth do you manage to put a new horse straight out with your others like that?! God, wish mine were so nice to newbies, they go on full on attack mode!

We have to keep ours separate for weeks first .

Lol, I took my camera out thinking I might get some nice action shots but they literally just had a sniff and walked off down the field!

If we had put them all out with the ponies all hell would have broke loose though

I love his name too, it is very confusing though with a Lanky and a Larry on the yard, we keep calling them the wrong names

He's not been 'right' for a while, generally lacking sparkle, looking a bit down and being a bit of a Sh!t to ride. I had his teeth, back and saddle checked but they were all fine. Vet took bloods and it showed that he had a Low White Blood cell count caused by a Virus, he needs at least 4 weeks off and then brought back into work really slowly.
