This is quite a common situation with a new horse - we had exactly this with our mare for the first few months when we bought her - I believe with her it was the unsettling move, respect, & trust issues - we did a lot of groundwork using Richard Maxwell techniques & all resolved fairly quickly. Even now after 18 months she will have the odd day of testing but soon realizes who knows best & gives up!!
