Ashe is looking to buy a new horse as Otto is broken and with recent events probably wont be jumping any great heights anytime soon. She has been window shopping even though she cant buy one until November.I got so fed up with her moaning about missing jumping etc that i told her to put a wanted ad on horsequest asking for a 2 month loan/lease with view to buy.(I didnt think anything would come of it as people tend not to loan there expensives horses these days but it would keep her quiet!) .Put the ad up last wednesday asking for a horse currently jumping 1.15m. Had a few saying their horse could jump 2ft 6 but had the scope etc etc.Ashe has done the bringing on thing with Otto and wanted a horse she could just go out and jump now. Then got a call and the owner described Ashes perfect horse...went to see him on monday and he was just what she wanted.currently jumping 1.20m and has done a 1.40m.He is 17.2hh ,10 yrs old and a very laid back chap. He is the type of horse that will happily take you round the course up to about 1.20m,anything bigger than that and he likes a bit of input from you!

So all in all it's taken her a week to possibly find her dream horse. Will put some pics up of him later.

whooo, gosh he's a big lad!! I'd need a step ladder! I'd have to jump any gate out on a hack!! I'm looking for a foal or a yearling at the moment but I think it's going to take longer than that as I only have a very small budget after spending most of my money producing my foal from my own mare!!

How interesting was just wondering whether I could do the same thing for my daughter, funds available before November however she has had so many ups and downs though injury and illness I want to make sure next horse is as right as can be so she can get out and have some fun before the long winter, might just give that a try too.

Well he has settled in and behaving like he has been there for years! he is next to a little mare who loves to scrap with everything and he is just ignoring her much to her disgust! We think he is actually nearer 18hh as we have an 18 hander on the yard and there is not a lot of difference between them, going to put a stick on him later.photos still to come but if you cant wait go to youtube ,search yorley farm and look at the bailey vids that i uploaded the other day.
