So it's finally time! I have a livery space booked for 1st April so will be starting the hunt for a new horse soon!!

But I'm out of touch and have no horse possessions, please can I have recommendations on tack shops?

Anyone know any really big ones? My hats been hung up for far too long so need to go and try some new ones on, need breeches boots everything again!!

I'm based in Lincolnshire but happy to travel if it's worth the trip.

I’m not from your area so can’t recommend shops but how exciting for you!! If you’re ever after online stuff, I really like ordering from
GS Equestrian. They seem to be the best price wise and have a really good range!

Thank you! I will starts a horse shopping thread at the beginning of March to get you all hunting for me 😂

It is very exciting - just can't believe how out of touch I feel after a 4yr break!

Thank you! Will have a look :D

I get a lot of stuff second hand on eBay - loads of great bargains to be had if you’re okay waiting a bit for it. It’s ideal for clothing, not so much bulkier items.
For hats I find most shops only stock one brand, so the best way to try a few is at shows if you’re heading to any big-ish event 😊

On it with Ebay, just to get a feel for what things are selling for. Can't get any rugs or anything yet but I had seen some good deals!

I miss the Ride-away catalogue!! Used to go through it religiously,

Think i'll be ending up at R&R in Selby as that seems the largest one in the area.

Ebay is your friend. I'm still using the second hand travel boots I bought 13 years ago. I've also had some bargain rugs over the years as well as a hacking jacket for me. I love a bargain and will wait for something I need to come up on ebay or in a sale before buying.

Good luck with your horse search.
