Update on this thread
http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=438899

Well thought id do an update as i have had Jessie 4 months now

If you have read the thread above you will know that i bought Jessie in January and then came on h&h and found her old owner, read through her posts to find that my Jessie was in her words, Dangerous, reared, bolted, bad to catch, and unpredictable, and that she didn't jump
Anyways after getting some advice on my thread I gave Jessie the benefit of the doubt and have not been dissappointed (so far).
She is an absolute pleasure to own and ride (alone and in company) she comes to call every day from field, she hasnt reared, bolted or anything bad at all even though she is on hard feed and gets no calmers. She is extremely loving and follows me about. She is really enjoying hacking out and jumping and seems to appreciate not doing schooling and dressage (think it boils her brain). So so far alls good and hopefully will stay that way, Jessie is very happy (me too) and very settled, you would think she had been mine all her life. So i believe this to be a happy ending when in old owners posts she was advised to put her to sleep as unsafe to be ridden  And now she has her forever home :)
Anyways heres a video from today, no serious schooling just a chill out in the arena with a bit of jumping at the end (for those of you who manage to stay awake that long lol). :)

So glad to hear that your patience has paid off and that you stuck with the horse, what a lovely story....I can't comment on the video as I'm not a member of facebook and it won't let me watch it. Can you put it on Youtube?

Anyway very pleased for you.

I'm so glad things have been going so well. I'm a firm believe in taking both people and horses as you find them, not as others do. I watched the video in fb: what a lovely girl! Her paces look really easy to sit to 80)

Square pegs and round holes! Maybe the last owner just wasn't ' the one ' for this horse , maybe you listen to her , trust her and love her and in return you get the good times - well done you - long may it continue..

What a great story. Your mare looks a lovely sort and thank goodness you found each other. It's good to hear you didn't give up on her when you received info from a previous owner. Like with people not all horse/owner realtionships work, there is sometimes a clash of personalties.

I hope you have many happy years together.

I'm glad its worked out for you both. Sometimes its just down to a change in ownership, different management, amount of work etc.
