New horse

OK im 5ft3 and my dream horse has come up for sale, a lovely mare who events, shows and bascially is a wee star. but im worried im goin to look like a pea on a drum. Is 16.2hh too big? shes not bolshy or anything just dont want to be over horsed.

This is me on Troy a horse i used to ride.

I'm 5ft2 and he is a 17.2hh dutch warmblood. I did Show hunter and riding horse show classes, dressage and also took him hunting. He was well mannered and i never felt unsafe on him. Hope this helps.

I am 5'4 with short legs and ride a 17:3hh giraffe and a 16:3hh..................some large horses ride smaller than you expect - I would go for it!!

I'm about 5ft 1 and my George is a 16.2hh (honest) heavyweight but we get on just fine. I think confidence is more important than size
