Thought I'd tell someone..... I bought a lovely dark bay 12yo tb gelding today, he's done quite well at RC level dressage and jumping, calm to hack, good in traffic, with farrier etc- nice feet, ok conformation, calm manner. He's got them weird googly eyes that show the white but apart from that a kind face! I don't know what I want people to say but I just needed to tell horsey folk!! :D

He's been stabled for the last 4 months as prev owner lost her grazing so he's a little feisty but will be living out with me so I'll give him a week to chill before I clamber aboard in my velcro trousers to try him out. ;)

Well congratulations on your new arrival, sounds as if you will be able to have lots of fun together :)

I may be thinking of the wrong person but didn't you recently get a Suffolk Punch. If i have the right person how is he/she settling in? Appologies if im wrong, very easily confused this time of the eve :D
 
Everyone keeps mistaking me for someone who buys heavy horses all the time! :p

Defo not me, although I have nothing against them- I just wouldn't be able to get on board! :o

Yes, looks like I will have to start doing stressage after all- unafflicted to start ;)

He used to point to point but finished that 2 years ago so I doubt he can even remember that far back... :) Can't wait to ride him!
 
His registered name is Shanghai Noon and his stable name (was) Alfie- My dog is called Alfie so he is now called Eric. I think he is from the West sussex area? Any prev history please let me know!
 
No its not the same horse (just been looking back at the other horses face markings and there different near the nose area) and I know that person did have him up for sale, so not its not the same horse I was thinking off, although very much alike, same colour, same face and eyes...spooky!:)
 
Thanks guys! Thanks for the link Vix, I saw his history on racing post but none of his races are available to watch- he probably organised that as, frankly, he was pretty **** under rules! He did win a ptp though.... I like him anyway, he came trotting up to me in the field when I shouted for them all- he's the only one who did, the rest lifted their heads for a second and then carried on stuffing their faces....
