Next Saturday I will be a horse owner of a horse that is mine rather than various horses and ponies for my daughters and a family geriatric of 38.
Back inthe day when I had horses they were always pure bred Arabs of around 15hands...so what am I doing buying a 16:2+IDxWB?
Here she is...oh yes and she's a mare too.

Isn't she lovely?
Going to be asking lots of questions so please be kind to a grumpy old woman returning to riding after a long time away

Aly

She's 12 and she gives the strongest "safe" vibes ever!
She is a little head shy but that gives me something to work on.
It's the worst time for me to buy a horse as I'm currently working on a contract in London and will b looking for another as soon as it finishes. We've also just decided to move from a rented land arrangement to a DIY livery arrangement at a local yard with good facilities.
But the right horse comes along when t suits her I suppose

Thank you for the welcome :)

She's lovely:) congrats! One thing though she looks like she could do with a bigger saddle:)
Definitely and she is being fitted with a Kent and Masters GP on Monday before she comes

she's lovely! I'm very jealous! What do you want to do with her?

Thank you :) we are going to start with a winter of getting to know each other hacking, schooling, popping a few jumps, maybe a test or two but no rush as I'm hoping she's a long term family member :)

She looks lovely. I hope you have lots of fun. I got my own first horse when I was about 38 too, I was like a teenager again. Mine was cremello and was a dirt puddle addict out 24/7!! But happy. Enjoy.

She's lovely... she is just what I intended to buy, rather than a small, irate welsh pony (who I now love to bits). Remind me to buy a lovely, genuine looking horse like her when I retire Kes, though!!

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun together.
