I've not been on here for about a year, so most of you will not know that January 20th 2014 i lost my beautiful Ria after a freak accident.
She got kicked in the field and broke her leg. I was at work and my dad told me that the vet was all for fixing it but forgot to tell me that she needed to be cross tied. Unfortunately that night in her stable, she lay down and upon getting up, her whole leg snapped. It was horrific. I must have got there just after it happened, as i stood with her holding her head whilst she was going into shock. She was so brave and held onto life whilst we waited over an hour for the emergency vet!!
I miss her ever so much she meant the world to me.
I now have a new horse, something totally different to the chestnut thoroughbred mare. A 6 year old 17h coloured sport horse gelding!
He is ace! lovely movement and a huge jump.
We have only been doing bits of flatwork and hacking at the moment but im hoping to get him out doing some local level dressage and showjumping this summer
