My brother is thinking about getting back riding, and my mum says I’d have to give him my cob… and I’d get a new horse…
But… she’s just started really going well for me and I feel like maybe he’s ruin her… she’s 12 so not green or anything and would prob be fine for him (as in he’d be able to manage her) but I’m afraid she’d start going on her forehand again etc. and I worked so hard to get her out of that… if I rode her 3x per week and he rode her 2-3x per week would I be able to make up for him being a beginner/novice and maybe teaching her bad habits??
Also I haven’t really reached my full potential with her, on one hand there’s lots more I can learn from her but I can also learn from a new horse I suppose… and on the other hand she’s a bit limited in what she can do and a new horse would be able to fulfill my goals? So I don’t know how to feel! I love her and want to do what’s best for her.
Sorry for the long post if anyone has any words of wisdom it’d be great
