Actually, Mr Blue Pipe can be very effective without ever touching the horse.
I had a difficult loader who simply HAD to get on a lorry. A very good old horseman walked slowly behind her with a piece of BP held up in the air, moving it gently so that it made a quiet whistling noise, she loaded like a dream.
OP needs to train this horse to behave in the way she wants it to, rather than expecting it to just know what she wants. How did it behave when you tried it, OP?
