New Ifor Williams trailers

Now I know that a lot of you didn't like them, and I fully understand that I may be in the minority here. Yesterday I had a full tour of the new IW trailers at the NEC, and I have to say I was really impressed! They're really solid and chunky, and the one I was looking at was enormous, truly enormous.

I'm ashamed to say that I actually prefer it to my new trailer, and in fact to the Batesons

I feel terribly guilty for feeling like that. But I really didn't like or want the old IW trailers...

Has anyone else had a look round them? What did you think?

I looked round them at the NEC and I agree they are very large and spacious. I liked the jockey door having a way of opening them from the inside.

Yes, that was good, and it was recessed too, which makes it safer. My trailer jockey door you can open from inside but it's a great big handle - I worry horses will open it!

I had a look at them at the NEC and liked them a lot more in real life than the pics i have seen. Me and my friend particularly liked that you could have the tack cupboard fixed to the door instead of the separate one that you have to pull in and out

. I am planning on buying a new Ifor Williams trailer but havent been to see them yet. What did you think of the single horse trailer? My 4x4 is a small one so I am thinking the single horse one will be better weight wise but I am nervous about how stable they are. How did it look??

The single one wasn't there I'm afraid - but if it's anything like the bigger ones, it'll be pretty chunky and solid. I seriously didn't like the old Ifors but was really impressed with those new ones.

I showed the catalogue to my boyfriend the other day and he is still laughing at the fact that the "vanity mirror" comes as standard. I don't think it helped me convince him that riding is a serious sport

Hehe my OH found putting a mirror in my trailer hilarious too

I've put it in to help chill Ronnie out in the trailer, but I thought "oooh how useful, I can check my appearance at shows!". So I'm all for vanity mirrors!!
