Has anyone seen/bought one of the new I/W trailers????

I saw them at Bramham and it appears they have had a revamp, very nice.
The old 505 now has extra headroom, they will also now make you a trailer to order with a front ramp on the other (left) side!

Man also said there is talk of building a new model with living in..

Must admit though if I had the cash would have an Equitrek

Saw them at Bolesworth for the very first time I and told them there and then I thought they were absolute trash!
They are so plastic they are positively tacky and cheap looking, nowhere near as substantial as the older models. When I say they look no better than the Robinsons ones, SN will know what I mean! They might look the part if you are 'fashionable' but I don't think they'll stand up to anywhere near the work the older ones have.
Hand on heart, if you gave me one I'd flog it, I wouldn't want to use it.

Totally agree - I was all for getting one until I saw them on display at Badders - very plasticy, very tacky, and nowhere near as nice as the older model! Everytime I see a new one now, I thank God I kept my money in my pocket and hung on to my older style trailer!

anotherone in agreement here. I have a nearly new older model [ hpe that makes sense] and i'm thinking twice about selling it now.

Well we bought one !!. The first week grooms door started dropping and catching on the aluminium trim , it was fitted with the door tack pack. When we put one saddle and reins in you could see the door was catching a lot worse .The dealer ordered a new door. The breast bar clevis pin would not stay in place turned out to be faulty .The retaining clip for holding the top part of the front door was loose , just a nut that required tightening .Sounds bad it gets worse. The horse has travelled distances in a Ifor Williams trailer 505 old style before 200 mile round trip on three occasions with no issues. But he was not happy in the new trailer at all. Going in the trailer with him the noise of the suspension was terrible any pot hole ,cats eyes, rough surface resulted in a loud banging from underneath. The leaf springs hit of the underneath of the trailer metal to metal the same system as the old 505 only it is noisier. That is the way they are designed. The dealer checked it over and everything was as it should be. So before parting with your hard earned cash take a run in the back of one and make your own mind up We took a run in the back of a Bateson and the difference was very noticable much smoother and not near so noisy. The 506 went back and we got a refund .They may look the part but they are not a patch on the older model
