Hey there,
My name is Séra and I'm currently in South Africa. My husband and I are wanting to immigrate to the UK in the near future and I am SO excited to start meeting other equestrians in the UK and connect. I have done some cross country, show jumping and dressage and absolutely love Parelli (I've only recently joined as a savvy member and working on level one audition).
So exciting to be part of this forum! Thanks a million!

Hi Séra, I’m the one who linked the forum for you, glad to see you made it. I’m pretty sure the member @LadyGascoyne is either from or spent time in South Africa.

Will you be bringing your horse over? Any ideas where you’ll be living?

When we got givem him I was told the condition was I never move him. He was left by a previous owner two years ago and then given to me in June this year. I would of loved to take him with us!!

Lovely to know there are other members that are with from SA or have visited as well!

Welcome ?. Just to warn you that historically there hasn't been much enthusiasm for Parelii on the forum, you might need to use Parelli specific social media for that aspect of horsemanship. We're great at discussing almost everything else though!
.

I did have benefit from Parelli style teaching (via Australia).
My grand daughter loved to ride but she was a timid little thing, lightly built and couldnt say boo to a goose. We paid for 6 Parelli style groundwork lessons one summer holiday. She became quite capable, leading and backing up and handling the pony on the ground and eventually was riding bareback with head collar and rope.
She is a uni student now but she still rides and helps out at that same yard in the vacs.
When you encourage children to interact with horses, you have to choose what is right for them. And I guess that goes for adults too.

Thank you SO much and also thanks for letting me know ? I'll definitely refrain from discussing Parelli but I also adore cross country etc.
