I knew it was too good to be true. I was looking for someone to loan my mare for hacking and general riding. I advertised her all over the place, I got a good response and arranged for 3 people to come and ride her. I decided on 2 that suited her better and they both wanted to do 3 days each and could work the week out between them. It was brilliant and i couldn’t have wished for it to turnout better.

The first lady started on Friday and was brilliant with my mare. We both went on a hack on Saturday and my mare was very well behaved even though my other horse was a complete sod.

The second lady was due today but called me yesterday to say that after her weeks training at her new job it has become apparent that she is going to have to work away from home a lot more that she first thought and can no longer commit to loaning my mare. I was gutted but appreciated her honestly and was glad that she decided now rather than doing a few weeks then finding out she couldn’t cope.

So i am now looking for someone to part loan my beautiful 16.2 bay mare that can come to Chorley/Rivington a few days a week (sun, mon, tue or wed). I hope i am not looking for the impossible.

Wish me luck, i am now off to put all the advert back on.

Disappointing................can Lady 1 not commit to any more days or might she when she gets going with your mare?

No not really she works full time and is also studying 2 nights a week. She will be able to do a little more over the summer when school is out (so to speak) but that wont help over the winter months when she needs more exercise.

I've had similar problems with loaning a pony, even people visiting, saying they want her, and then just dumping, just don't understand why they cant even pick up the phone.

Better luck for you I hope.
