Ours is leaking like a sieve so needs replacing. Appears to be sheet metal that is curved down over the luton. Has anyone ever had a new roof and what did it cost ? thanks

I had a similar roof replaced on mine the other year. It cost £1500 for a fiber glass roof with insulation and internal roof cladding. Also included ali sheet for the luton and labour. Was very pleased with it but its got to go back as the internal cladding has come away at the sides were they haven't fixed it properly at the sides above the cupboards in the living. Its perfect in the horse area thou.

Haven't actually used these guys but they were very helpful when I was talking about a project: http://www.cvr-uk.com/

They might also be able to suggest someone to do the fitting.

But I wonder if the roof actually needs replacing or just re-fitting or even a good dollop of sealant. Bodge but hey if it works!. A decent commercial body builder might be able to have a look?

is the roof damaged or is it just the sealer letting go you may not need to replace it unless it is well soaked and and the wood has gone.
prices would differ depending on what type of luton you have ie. tilt cab, curved or 50p shaped.
i would check the luton floor as well and the side walls if your getting alot of water in it will make other problems as time goes by.
but as a guess your probably looking at around £1500-£2000.

My thoughts exactly. I so often see roofs with silicon sealant between the sheet joints . About as much use as a chocolate teaspoon. I drill out the rivets and clean the joints then use something like tigerseal or one of the 3m structural adhesives. Splits and tears can also be repaired with a patch and some structural adhesive .
