New muzzle!

I have fitted it, to be fair reasonably easy although I had to take it off to actually do the popper things up as it was hard on his head but easy off, you need to push from the back not just push from the front.
I’ve taken a few photos but I like the fit, the nostril holes are bang on perfect.
He just took off at 62 billion miles an hour down the field to attempt muzzle removal. So no idea on the grazing front yet! Will let him settle, hopefully realise it’s welded to his head and go down to have a look at grazing efforts!

Nostril space!

Still in place and eating quite happily through the hole.
I’m happy!
The test will be how he walks in the next few days but the hole is slightly smaller than his FF muzzle which I believe was a second hand one and had the hole cut a little larger. My original (I think) broke
So far so good

He had a good try at removal and then happily ate. I sat down for a good while and spied when he thought I wasn’t around.
Most muzzles he won’t settle until it’s off or broken although Is now used to wearing one.
I’ve not tried anything other than his flexible fillies for a good 2/3 years

Yes it is a little. He tends to flip them over his nose so they hang round his neck, the flexible fillies os the only one he can’t do that with but even then I have to tie string straight up the front of his head- mid noseband to between his ears to stop that.
Needs adjusting but he came in with it still on this morning.

I suppose if the eating hole is further back (underneath), there would be less incentive to drag the muzzle down from the front.
Hope it does the trick though, grass looks as deep as his hooves and is definitely growing now, despite snow earlier this week / frost every morning!
