New owner New horse what do I feed him???

Hi everyone,

Can I just ask for some advice. I'm new on here and have a new horse as well.
He's 15.2 I.Dx he's great love him to bits 😄😄but he takes a while to 'get going' is you know what I mean
When I bought him he was just on some chop twice a day but I feel he needs a little bit extra.
Would you recommend a balancer or cool mix??

How is he kept ?, if he is unfit and unclipped he may be struggling to be sprightly.

Tell us a bit more about him - is he stabled, part stabled, or at grass 24/7? What is your grazing like and how much and what type of forage do you feed? How long have you had him, what work was he doing before you got him and how much work is he doing now? What is his condition like - just right, or a bit overweight or underweight? How old is he and did he pass a vetting when you bought him?
