Not got many details yet, think he only arrived today and seeing as I'm stuck in uni, I havent met him yet

He is a 4 yr old ex-racer, sold as a yearling (I think) for 600,000 guineas to the Aga Khan (trust me, he cost us a LOT less, think of taking several noughts off!!

) I'm on the case to find out more but apparently he's super smart but quite sharp, if he comes on well through the winter then he may event next year or he'll be for selling.

I'm very, very excited at the prospect of a new toy at home!!! (even though evil sister will prob make me do the hard work thewn steal him back for herself...)

Sorry Boss- however beautifull and stunning and talented they may be its impossible for them not to have been affected by training as a 2 year old. However if it hasnt and turns out well that is fantastic

I know I, I'm so sorry about F. Unfortunately sister is a sucker for a bargain and a friend found it for her. She'll never learn- she knows it's impossible to sell them for a profit and it will end up becoming another permanent resident but by the sounds of things his confo is strong and he should have a chance.
I dont know his proper name yet but
I'm hoping he raced once, walked home and they never bothered again....

Not necessarily SB, I'm really sorry about Forrest

but lots of horses race at 2 and have no problems in later life. My old Pony Club/eventer mare (the grey in my sig) raced at 2 about 10 times, she had absolutely no problems in later life and was sound as a pound, legs like concrete. I still have her now at age 19, she's out on loan at the moment otherwise i'd be hunting her, team chase etc.

Dont tar racing with that accusation! Doesnt always follow

I think that is a bit harsh. We have a successful ex hurdler at my yard he is just settled in to a retirement of hacking and a few local shows. He's 18! He has pins and plates in his legs but he has no physical or mental problem from it and is one of the most laid back tb's you will ever meet. He is now ridden regularly by a 14 year old novice!!

Good luck with the new one Boss...pics a must
