:D My new pony flew through his vetting today and now all that remains is the updating of his passport to my name - yay! He is a yearling Connemara, bay roan, and currently standing at 14hh. We think he will finish at around 15hh, so on the tall side for a Connemara. He is being gelded once the flies are all gone.

I have pictures on my profile page and will upload more asap. Can't figure out how to post them up here, and the ones currently on my profile are from his advert as I forgot to take any new ones today :o

I am currently shopping online for him, and trying to think of a stable name...

congratulations, he is very very pretty. Beautiful boy.

Won't you get incredibly impatient waiting all that time before you can ride him?

I'm so excited for you - he's gorgeous! :)

Thank you all, especially Faracat for the photos!

Lol, I'm actually looking forward to the experience of raising him and training him :) Now, if I can just get my copy of the vetting downloaded to sort out insurance...and if the Connemara Pony Breeder's Society website would let me download the transfer form without crashing...technology is not my friend!

Aw! He's a proper cutie! :D (cheers Faracat!)

What's his personality like, is he a laid back seen it all or a curious, mischievous into everything type?

He is reserved and awfully proper, but affectionate once he gets to know you, lol! Very polite in the stable and on the ground. But he did get caught up in a big adventure on Saturday, when he and his fieldmates decided the grass looked better in the other field...down the ten foot drop and over the river at the bottom:eek:

They are all back on the yard now until the field can be escape proofed. They are the first ones that have ever escaped from it! Oh well, at least none of them were hurt and they didn't cause any damage either. On the plus side, he's now had lots of experience travelling in a horsebox, and we know he can jump!

I have decided to keep him on at the seller's yard until he is gelded, after which we are off to pastures new - the seller very kindly agreed to rent me space until then as my YO cannot take a colt. I also have the option of turning him back out with his adventuring buddies, once the fencing is sorted. I suspect he would love that - at the moment he is out at night and in during the day.

<rocks in corner, gibbering at thought of ten foot drop>

 at the 10 foot drop! He sounds lovely though :D

He is very lovely indeed. Went and checked on him today after my riding lesson and he recognised me! Came up to me for a fuss: he has decided that being rubbed on the forehead just between his eyes is delightful, lol.

I have named him T'Khasi - bonus points if anyone knows where that is from!
