Hi there, i have just bought a 14.2hh ish, 2yr old few spot appaloosa
i am hoping to do a bit of showing with her, just for a bit of experiance

i have had a few youngsters and backed a little cob but nothing as young as her before and was just wanting advice on the dos and donts of dealing with a 2yr old and i no v little about showing in hand what sort of classes would be suitable and the correct dress code.

she is verry quiet and sensable good to handle and thought she would be a sensable type to back ect as my first baby :)

i will post pics asap x

Sounds fun!

Need to see pics really to see how developed physically she is. I hopped on my 2 1/2 year old Dales pony. Literally on, once around the yard, then off again. I only weighed 6 stone though.

Didn't get back on her until she was 5, but it didn't matter because she knew it all anyway. Went through the whole lot properly then turned away for 6 months.

I spent a lot ofher early years walking EVERYWHERE together, letting her see all the sights and sounds, long reining which I am not very good at, but she understood, and just anything I could think of really, tacking up, bandaging, trimming, clippers on, tapping feet with a hammer.

Allsorts really that you would want to do later in life. That pony ended up bombproof and a pleasure to own :)

Good luck with yours.
