I have another new arrival...
Meet Sammy,

(he is the one jumping normally!)
He last raced in 2011 but sustained an injury which meant he probably wouldn't race again. He was due to be PTS but is sound and happy so I took him on as project. I knew what I was getting though, as I work at the yard he used to be trained at, so I have already had him over a jump etc
and knew what he was like.
He has a lovely nature, and is very pretty. He is out of primitive rising mare.
Due to snow yesterday he didn't get out (well we braved a 20 min walk in hand in Arctic conditions), as I didn't want to ride him for the first time for over 18 months in a blizzard!!
Today I got on, baited breath, as he hasn't been ridden ages.... and he did nothing. I took him out for a hack at he did a little jig-jog but that was it. He never did anything nasty when he was in training so I knew he would be ok really
The plan is to get him going and then sell him on, so I mustn't get too attached!

it's always famous last words when saying you won't get too attached!
