So…follow on from my post about insurance, she passed the vetting with flying colours and should be coming home next week!

i’m excited, but it doesn’t quite feel real yet that after 21 years i’ve finally bought a horse of my very own:,) i don’t think it’ll hit me until she walks off the box!

i have to say, i think i’ve been unbelievably blessed with the process of buying my first horse - i saw her ad way before i was meant to be looking (way under budget), but i instantly got that feeling from her. i’d convinced myself all day today that there was absolutely no way i would love the first pony i see, the private seller would be absolutely lovely, AND she would pass the vetting, but i’ve been so lucky.

Photos attached of the princess herself!

Congratulations! I bought the first pony I saw and then 22 years later when I went looking for my next horse, I bought the first one I saw again....no regrets :)

thankyou everyone! She’s called lily?

going through everything i need to get sorted before she comes home…but the pony in her new stable can’t go just yet because someone is in his stable, so we’re in a bit of moving house type chain! thankfully her seller is lovely and has assured me that she can stay there a few days longer because she’s paid up for a while anyway.

insurance is sorted and she’s registered with my vet, just waiting on being able to organise transport!

little update guys…i’ve still not been told when her stable will be free so it’s looking like i’ll have to look for another yard, which is proving tricky? i don’t want to move her somewhere only to move her again 2 weeks later to where she should’ve been, but equally i don’t want to stay somewhere i really don’t like!

spoke too soon about being lucky that the process has been so straightforward?

If you say what area youre looking for a yard, there’s many on here that may know of a nice yard to suggest.

ETA - you may do better here if youre struggling finding a yard to make a separate titled thread ‘looking for yard near X’ will get more attention.

11th hour teething issues are annoying but im sure it’ll come good! She’s a sweet looking mare ?
