Wes, the horse I put pictures of in the gallery last week, has been with me 7 days now. After a few days I was itching to get the scissors out, he's had about a foot off his tail, his feathers off, and his HUGE beard off! Felt much better after that! I've lunged him a bit with side-reins, and yesterday he worked out how to canter properly! Was starting to wonder if he was ever going to get it! Have also hacked him out by himself, and he has a great attitude, really marches along "come on, what's round this corner then". His owner came to see him today, and was really pleased. He worked happily and in balance in walk trot and canter, so for the next week I'm going to start using the pessoa and do lots more trot - canter transitions. Went into feed merchants today and asked for the cheapest, most effective weight gain feed, and they sold me Allen & Page Fibre Pencils - love the price tag but it says it's suitable for laminitics etc, now does that add up?

Will get some pics of him for next week's report.

All sounds good so far! I am deffo looking forward to all the updates and pics

WEll fibre pencils I would think are a good way of building him up slowly without feeding him lots of sugar which isn't good/

So may be more gradual but should do the job I would think.

Thanks for advice re feed all, just strikes me that if it's a feed for laminitics, I would have to feed him an awful lot of it to put weight on him whilst he's working quite hard. Will give A&P a ring on Monday and see what they have to say about it.
