Abb123 what you are doing is teaching impulse control, which is great and exactly what you should do, I would not bother with saying no personally, just let her figure out that patience and self control gets her something, biting does not.
Spudlet is right, there are different ways of training your dog, whichever way you chose it should be humane and a method that your dog can understand what you are asking. If the dog enjoys the training he is much more likely to repeat the behaviour that you want, than if you force/coerce him into doing something.
