Thanks to all of the help, advice & stories on my previous thread from all you guys, finally decided on a Sprocker! We drove 100 odd miles to the breeder Saturday & after over an hour of trying to choose, decided on this little blue roan lady! Picking her up next Saturday when she's ready, soooooo excited! Must say choosing from a litter of 10 of all different colours & shades was so so hard!!!

Any suggestions for names? So far the favourite is Pippa/Pip - especially since I found out the meaning is "lover of horses" lol.

Here she is ......

Well she's home! And an absolute angel! She slept all way home for over 2hrs in the car, got home & went straight to the toilet on the patio, had chicken & rice for lunch/tea, quick play with her duck & then back to sleep! lol

She's been taken out to the toilet every 2/3hrs when she's grumbled a bit & so far no accidents & gone on queue! Has a slight bit of blood at the mo breeder said would be due to stress so will keep a close eye, but also said her chicken & rice would settle her stomach.

She's just flat out inbetween though, has a bit of water & chew on the duck then bed! Easiest pup we've ever had (touch wood). She's in my room tonight in her bed inside crate so I can hear when she wants the loo. No clock or waterbottle needed by the seems, as the pics show, no issues sleeping!

Welcoming Pip!

Coming home ....

Settled in you think? lol

She is gorgeous. However, do I understand she is passing blood in her motions? Personally I would be slightly concerned about this, and not sure why the breeder would suggest it is normal. I have sold many puppies to new homes and while the occasional one does have slightly loose motions for the first 24 hours I have never known there to be blood. Does she play normally between the sleeping, pups like babies do need a lot of sleep, but inbetween they are usually very full on.
Sorry, really don't want to worry you, she maybe is just a very laid back little pup, but couldn't let the mention of blood pass without comment.

Lovely pup. Echo the comment re blood, though. Never heard animals passing blood thro stress!! Keep a close eye, if continues asap to vet as something is bleeding

Thankyou all, regarding the blood, she said to keep an eye on her & to check for blood as it was a possibility. She's been in touch this morning to ask if her stomach had settled, only a tiny tiny drop now today so seems to be clearing up a lot between. Also as of 4.30am this morning on a toilet break - she's certainly come to life! Must have decided she'd settled or something. She's been chasing me running around, playing with her toys, bouncing about & into everything then suddenly fast asleep again lol.

Going to be keeping a close eye on the blood & I'm off allday tomorrow with her too so if it doesn't stop - vet is literally 2 streets away & she's booked in for her jabs Thursday anyway.

A lot more alive today!

I cannot understand why the breeder would say the blood is normal: it's quite the opposite. Please don't wait til Thursday if there is even a hint of blood.

She is beautiful.

Glad she is brighter today, but would be wise to keep an eye on her. Was the breeder aware she had loose motions before you took her and so recommended chicken and rice?

Well she's been tonight now, still 'runny' but not a hint of blood so chuffed to bits, still going to keep a close eye incase though. I probably didn't explain clearly enough, breeder didn't say it was normal but it was a possibility so to watch closely, she came with a care sheet which she gives with all her pups - says to give them chicken & rice for 3 full days & slowly then start introducing her biscuits back in until shes totally back on them. Think its a precautionary measure to help their stomach settle & make sure they eat :) I would have taken her Tuesday if it hadn't stopped & still will if it comes back - but looks promising!

Glad you all like her, proper little madam tearing around the place. She's properly at home already, I love her!
