New pup!

Was browsing through horsey newspaper and saw little ad for 2 pups, mainly cairn with a bit of shih tzu, how cute!
So..now have one little puppy barking away beneath me (utility room is beneath my bedroom!)
Sleepless night me thinks!
Anyway, jus wondering, any puppy tips (we have 3 big dogs) or name suggestions?
 
Training it to a collapable crate is great.Teaches them independance,and means they can't get up to mischeif if you're not watching.Also it doubles up as a kennel if you want to take it away anywhere.
 
Can I ask why?
Have found crate training to be very good for bath handler/owner and the dog.

Certainly will get some pics (phone is bust with ink on the screen so difficult there!) asap, she is v. cute.
I just don't like it. I don't see the need, as I say we have 3 others and never put any of them in a cage and they all seem to be happy, well adjusted dogs.
Pup has a bed, and a room where she sleeps, I just don't see te point.

A lot of owners seem to object to it thinking it's cruel (which it definatly isnt).You obviously have had great sucess without so do what you do.
