Subject to home check.

Currently on a few days holiday in Cornwall, walking spaniel on the beach this morning and got chatting to a lady with whippets. I told her they are my favourite breed and would love a whippet type feature again after losing the old girl last year. She told me about a lady on fb, so I got back and sent message.
And this is so far the result!

Sadly she broke her hind leg jumping over her crate last month. She's a bedlington xwhippet 16 weeks old.
I have to give her a chance, right?
Another month of rehab, and physio/hydrotherapy.

There is a beddy/whippet a few doors down. I am utterly in love with him. He has the best temprement and is so friendly and sociable yet laid back. I think he is about 2 now.

His family adore him even more than me so he is unlikely to be abandoned on my doorstep.

They are my favourite lurcher mix. Good luck with homecheck.

She is beautiful, you have to have her.

My first dog ever was a Bedlington x Whippet. She came from Battersea Dogs Home as a tiny puppy. She was the most amazing dog, she lived until she was 18 and her name was Dilys.

Of course you have to give her a chance................why, that's a silly question :)

I have met 2 Bedlington x Whippet's in my lifetime and both were a delight. Mad as a box of frogs but temperaments to die for. The last one was on the beach in Mablethorpe and he was a stunner. Loved nothing more than rolling in the wet sand!! Even Rufus liked him on first sight

p.s. she must have a pretty name with those features.

Don't want to jump the gun, but will need ideas for names.
Ideally one syllable, but not essential, ideally something 'different', that perhaps goes with 'Rose/Rosie'.!! lol
So far, have ; Fern, Whisp, Twig, Swift, Ash and Jet on a list.

sky, whizz, fly, floss, fleur, meg (is a rose and i think it is pink)
blue, bramble, sally, bambi

we have that cross in our village, he is lovely but mad!!!!

Passed the home check, now got to arrange to go and meet her. Might try tomorrow, but if we're free her foster careers are busy it seems!!
She isn't quite ready to be re-homed yet, she has one more week of restrictions, although I'm told she is rather lively and rather bored!! lol

Owned two beddy x whippets. Sweetest girls except when a small furry was running! Whizz is a great name but I do prefer ‘proper’ names for dogs. CMcC’s Dilys (Dilly) is fab.😀

Not Fern, I know she isn't a spaniel but every other spaniel is called Fern these days. :-) I like Swift.
