We picked new puppy up yesterday. First puppy I've had anything to do with for 15 years and I remember why I prefer adult rescues! She is very cute though.
Ciara is her registered name but shes now called Brandywine, or Brandy. (Actually I prefer Ciara but hey shes not my dog).
She has been here 24 hours now and already whines to go out, which makes it easier, goes as soon as her feet hit the grass and runs back to the back door! I breed chickens and have a lot of very tame bantams who have thrown her completely, shes decided to be scared of them, which suits me!

The older dogs loathe her - Poppy the border is standing stiffly over her ball there, not playing really, but Brandy thinks its good fun anyway. Sash the lurcher hates her and growls non stop when she can see her, thats her 'Go away' face. I expect they will get over it, they don't go in the same room as her if they can help it. My two boys are playing with her non stop so they are wearing her out and taking the pressure of Mrs & Mrs Grumpy.

Aww what a cutey!

We pick our puppy up on Thursday. First time for a puppy for us...am very nervous!

Interested in how you're older dogs have coped so far...am worried how ours will cope.

Keep posting pics, it's great to see puppies!

Its the first time we have had a pup for a long time, excpet hound puppies that we have every year, but they don't come in the house. The older dogs are very nose-out-of-joint. Poppy weed in the house last night, which she hasn't done since we first got her.

, definately wasn't pup as it was upstairs!
We have a big cage that the pup eats and sleeps in, and the older dogs can go in the office if they want to. She does torment them a bit and they will probably snap at her at some point but try to let them, to a certain extent, sort it out between them. They need to know their place, like young horses, and will be easier for learning that when young.

My girl could not bear to be anywhere near Layla when she arrived, it has taken 4 weeks for her to start playing with her. However, Bailey has been her number 1 buddy since day 1. Once little one learns the rules, the girls will let her in their space - she is lovely

She is totally adorable - I love puppies, can't resist a puppy's tummy!

The older dogs will come round eventually, my lab was extremely worried when I brought my spaniel home but now they are best mates and share a bed in the kennel!

Is it you that is getting the Spinone? I will look forward to seeing your updates, I do so admire this breed but unfortunately its very unlikely I will ever get the chance to own one - the house is too small!!

She is adorable

Glad your older ones accepted her, Sash only likes the hound pups when she can take them hunting but as that is not supposed to be allowed with this one, as shes intended for shooting (fat chance I should think playing with a ball already...
