We pick him up in 5 weeks but need some help off you guys!!!

Firstly please remind me what we need to consider/buy when having a new puppy and secondly he needs a name!!!

ideas please!!!!

His name is clearly Bandit coz of mask. Or Zorro. Also, he is too nice for Thistle so send him to me. When buying a puppy: clear eyes, no snuffles, not got the runs or blood in poo, seen with mum, mum up to date with all jabs, no hernias, not deaf, friendly and inquisitive rather than shy or retiring, got papers etc if that's important, boxers...do they have specific problems like hips or eyelashes turning inwards etc? If so, need vet ok that they've been checked. Weaned, obviously. 4 of things he needs 4 of, 2 of others or 1 of tail/nose/head/body. Everything ready at home, eg same food, bed, vet, collar, dishes, etc. By the way, I think he is the milkman's coz he is totally different from his brothers and sisters!

im on the other end i have 6 pups at neally 5wks old waiting for there new homes when old enough. when i sell mine i always tell new owners what i have been feeding them so its not a quick change i also inform them of what product i use to worm them & when they are due to be done again. because my pups are small i always feed lactol milk for puppys etc 3 times a day and they have a complete puppy dry food down all the time with plenty of fresh clean water. all questions that should be told to you when you pick your pup up so worth taking a pen with you. its worth getting a cuddly toy for him/her to cuddle into so they dont feel so alone after been with brothers/sisters. some people find that a dog cage is handy for pups at nite and when you have to go out & cant take them with you, it also helps against chewing as they get bigger. i have one big enough for a dalmation/alsasion for 6 little jack russell pups and there food and water so loads of room. looks a lovely pup, i hope the 5wks pass really quick for you.

i may be biased but he is a stunner!! love the name zorro!!

just out of interest whos he by>? the bitch looks very familar to me......

ditto what BOF said you'll need - that and some extra sleep!!!

i think you've had the daft breed before so you know what to expect - enjoy him!!

As others have said .... but we also took our dog to the vets as soon as we got him as a puppy. a) to get microchipped (he's a blue merle border collie and rather pretty - well I think so
wink.gif
) b) to have a health check - cause I'm a worrier
