Can you tell i'm excited!!!???

Any tips on how to get him to settle in etc.

Also any tips on house training him would be much appreciated.

I have another dog a 3 1/2 year old lab (the puppies daddy) but I got him when he was 9 months old so all the hard work was done.
 
I want one!! Feeling quite broody with all this puppy talk just lately!
Let him pootle round the place and have a good sniff. I gave all mine a fluffy dog blanket in their own basket to snuggle up in and they all settled fairly quickly.
House training depends on the dog as to how quickly, or slowly, they get the hang of it. I took all mine out every 30 minutes or so and wandered round until they did a wee or poo, then loads of praise. Always take them out about 20 minutes after food and, of course, first thing in the morning. Personally I never bothered with the newspaper on the floor thing as I think it encourages them to go in the house.

something from the place you collect him from in his basket will help settle, also a jumper with a familiar scent, or a toy animal with eyes removed (and other loose bits) in the basket allows them to cuddle in similar to how they would with litter mates!

I introduced my dogs at a neutral place rather than at home. I didn't leave them on their own for a few days but have never had a problem with aggression. Mine are rotties and a ridgeback so quite large. However, they were incredibly gentle around the pup.
Dexter used to sit on his sister, who is 12 months older than him, and she treated him like a son rather than a brother. Very sweet. Now, on the other hand, he is definitely in charge!!
 
Hmm looks a bit sub standard to me. Don't worry though I will be happy to take all of those pups off your hands... I'm just that kind of girl!
