I havent posted on here before but often read through for help and advice.

Ive been tempted by the new Rambo Optimo turnout rug and managed to actually buy one this week however it doesnt fit!! The shop cant exchange as the little stock of these they had in have all sold and due to production problems with theses new rugs they arent getting anymore stock in until the end of November!!! Does anyone have any views on the Bucas Power turnout or the Smartex?? I want something of similar if not better quality than the rambo rugs as ive always used them and like them, hence why im worried about switching brands.
Any advice, experience of Bucas would be very much appreciated!

can you not return it and get your money back? then buy online or from another shop?? Out of interest are they coming up too big or small?

I can send it back but i will have to pay postage to send it back and will be refunded minus the £8.50 it cost them to send to me. The guy at the shop has said id be better of selling it as no one has these rugs in stock and everyone wants one.

It came up to big, I have always had to buy a size biggar than normal with Rambo rugs but this has come up to big, Im so dissappointed as it took me weeks to find someone selling these that actually have them in stock.

I find it bizarre as Rambo always say to go a size up for the turn outs!! Nightmare!! Tbh I don't think that you will sell it easily or you would lose more than the postage, people really do not want to spend that much money on a rug so they would want a bargain.

Try heyfarm saddlery on ebay (discountsaddlery.co.uk) or http://www.hopevalleysaddlery.co.uk/acatalog/TURNOUT_RUGS.html hope valley are normally the cheapest and have the most stock.

I love my Bucas rugs - i was converted earlier this year.

I've got the sunshower rug and the light smartex turnout (with lovely light fleece inside to help dry them).
I found that my horse is an andalsian/arab cross and broad around the chest and takes a 6'3 in amigo and her masta rugs and a 6'3 in the Bucas fits her perfectly. I did buy a medium neck and wish I'd gone for a large however, as the medium is a little shorter than i'd like.

Not sure if this helps - but just to say that I really love the Bucas rugs and I'll be buying all Bucas in future.
