New Rider forum

Has anyone joined this forum who used to go on New Rider?
Just curious as lots of people have left since the introduction of subscriptions! Myself included

Yes but I've been here long before that happened. Most people went to trotonline.

No way I'd pay for a forum, 2 many good ones around that you dont have to pay for.
No wonder loads have left x

I dont think so, there are hardly as many new posts as there used to be.
Looks boring in my opinion.

I used to be a member, just popped on sometimes when I got bored, but no way was I paying, likewise Hamlets House.

It's actually not bad now. I don't mind paying a small amount for a year. You are less likely to get trolls on a paid forum and I can see that they might have had to find funding to keep the forum running. They are not free to run.

I used to be quite an active member, paid the subscription for a month and although it seemed friendlier it was dead. Very few new posts and the board hardly moved. I'd been a member on here already but have since posted a lot more. I'm the most active on trotonline, like you say, where most people went.

I used to be - although I was on H&H too. Paid forums are not the way the web is supposed to work.

I am still a member,it is quieter but not as quiet as it was at first and is picking.

I miss the old forum in terms of how many new posts etc,but have to say the quality and tone of NR now is much improved.Very little pettiness and nastiness,and much more friendly and supportive.
