New Saddle advice please

OK not a lot of money - around £400 and want a dressage saddle. Like one with a knee block if possible.

Looking At:
New Wintecs,
Thoroughgood T6
Colliegates
Tekna


Any one got thoughts - recommnedations?

He is just 4 and will prob change as he develops so if its one that has adjustmnet thats great but would not dismiss replacing further down line when more money anyway!!!!

I know it's a little more than you want to spend, but I have a Heather Moffett suberpanel Fhoenix for sale on e-bay:

It's treeless except for a small section in the cantle, for rider support so would allow for shape changes. Very comfy too.

You could also have a look at the BALANCE saddles. They are brilliant saddles and cope well with horses changing shape. PM me if you'd like more details about trying the BALANCE range.
 
oh mare has a thorrowgood which fits her really nicely, think it is a good saddle for the price. Would get your saddler out first though as it would be unlikely that your boy would fit all of the brands you mention. You could also consider second hand, you would get more saddle for your money (iyswim) and when he changes shape you could sell it back to your saddler and get another without loosing as much on it as you would with a new saddle.
 
I bought a Wintec Isabella (saddler fitted it) for my daughter's mare as I wanted a saddle that could adjust as she matured. The mare that is not the daughter! She was only 4.5 yrs at the time and I couldnt afford to change the saddle 6 months down the line.

It fits her well and I have been able to change the gullet as she has changed shape.

I also hack her out when Im allowed :-) and found it comfortable, although I would prefer a leather saddle, sadly the wallet doesnt allow it yet but if it did it would be a nice new shiny Albion but for now I will just dream.
