Please put my mind rest! I have had to take the plunge and buy a new saddle as my lovely dapple grey hunter has changed shape since l got him and his old saddle no longer fits him!! My old saddle was black but l could only get hold of a Dark Havana colour. Its an ideal make of saddle. Does anyone have a saddle this colour? Is it a very dark brown? Im worried its going to look odd but couldnt wait 12 weeks for the black one!! We compete in ridden hunter classes and also hope to do workers next season will it be ok? Opinions very gratefully recieved!!

Havana should be the same dark brown as a cigar, except in North American where the crazy fools think its a reddish colour (sorry "color" as they can't spell either)

Just to upset everyone, black is a terrible colour and generally the leather is not so good as dyed to within an inch of its life

Black saddles are for chavs with brass bridles.... (have I offended everyone now???)

I love brown saddles and have a australian nut saddle which I love nut but I love black dressage saddles but then you never see many brown ones so may change my mind,.

Also how can I black dressage saddle be chav?

I have dark havanna on my dark dapple grey and it looks fine. As previously mentioned brown is correct in the show ring but you will need a brown bridle to match!
