I had a brand new saddle fitted a while back and it came last week.
whilst it fits my horse lovely and my long legs, which was the whole purpose of changing saddles, I just don’t feel comfy riding in it and feel quite detached from my horse
On looking at it further I think it’s too bulky under my thigh. I feel really stupid now as I rode in it twice when the fitter was here and didn’t really notice - I just thought it was because the leather was stiff and new.
So I now have a difficult conversation with the saddler tomorrow to see if he can either adjust it to me or sell the saddle on.
Has anyone had their saddle adjusted to fit them rather than the horse?

I am no expert and i know there is at least one on here who will be able to give you great advice.
In my opinion, if I had paid for a custom made saddle, felt comfortable at the time and now it felt 'different' i would suggest its not quite right. A saddler should be approachable to listen to your concerns and possibly have to do minor alterations.

It was made for me but it’s a generic sizing. They only sell to order so don’t have a large stock as such.
