Slightly embarrasing question (hope nobody knows me :o )
I have recently had an Albion K2 jump saddle custom made to fit my horse. I've had it a while now, and I like it and he likes it. However I find that the seat is quite hard on my bum when I'm hacking.

For fast work and jumping (which is what it's designed for!) it's comfortable and secure, but I also use this saddle for hacking because my horse does have frequent whoopeeeey moments, and I need all the help possible to stay on board. I do a lot of road walking up and down hills during the week, and I'm finding it really uncomfortable.

Does anyone else have this problem, and any advice? I've never used a seat saver before, but I worry if I'm out and he does a big bronk, or drops a shoulder & spins will the seat saver mean that I'm more likely to be unseated?

A Heather Moffet seatsaver plus a pair of suede or stickybum jods will glue you in place very nicely! Well worth investing the money.

(I have a pair of Kerrits Sit -Tite breeches from the USA which wont even allow me to get out of my cars leather seats....for extreme airs above the ground I find them invaluable!)

Im going though this now with my new saddle. Im hopeing that the big fact is that I havnt ridden for two months so I think that my bum just needs to harder up again!!! Otherwise it's going to be a seat saver. I didnt have any problems whistd it was being fitted.

You have a few options:
1. grow yourself a cushion - get on that chocolate;)
2. buy a seat saver
3. have memory foam or silicon padding inserted into the saddle's seat - I had one made like that and it's bliss
