My loved stubben has broke.
I took it to saddlers to have a look and he thinks something has broke where the sturrip bars attach to the tree. The repair would cost more than the saddle is worth.
I am now on the look out for a second hand saddle. It has to be a 17 or 17.5 inch seat, and a narrow to medium fit.A cut back head would be nice but not essential. Can any one help?

I might be able to help you out.

I'm making a "bottom drawer" ready for when I buy a horse, and just happen to have a new, budget range 17.5" saddle.

It's a black GP, very comfy, and it measures 6.5" between the tops of the D ring loops. It doesn't have thigh rolls, but it does have a cut back head :-)

PM me if you're interested!

I've got a medium tree black 17.5 " Lemetex dressgae saddle for sale if that would be any good? It's 2 years old but is as good as new - it was bought for my previous horse but didn't get a lot of use owing to his ongoing lameness

and is too narrow for my new horse.

I've got a 17.5 m barnsby GP.....only a year old but just want £500 for it - just brought a new albion as the barnsby doesn't fit my boy....

I have a black WOW saddle with dressage flaps, removeable blocks, (2 sets) size 2 seat, currently got a No. 2 headplate in it but also got a 1 and 3. Lovely saddle and all parts are changeable. 3 years old, in excellent condition, £1500 new, looking for £650 ovno

Thank you very much for all your offers.
The saddle would mainly be used for hunting,so dont fancy a dressage saddle!!!(cant thing why!)
Sadly i expect all the others would be out of my price range at the moment, due to a horrible ex-husband dragging me through the courts, and huge legal bills.
