Jerry now has a nice new leather saddle, after months of putting up with the wintecs it was so good to ride in this one! Liz said straight away which one she thought would fit him perfectly, but tried a few others first. Of course none of the secondhand ones were any good, (typical!) she tried a few new ones and the only 2 that were any good were the bates momentum and the mark todd one, then she put the one she had mentioned at the beginning, the Ideal Impala, and even I could tell it was perfect. Got on and rode in it and I loved it. J felt much free-er and it lovely to ride in. Tried the mark Todd and I hated it instantly, the momentum didn't fit him as well as the ideal so we decided on that one.

Thank you for all your help and suggestions, was really useful to have a list of ones to try and go from there

An ideal saddle will last you for years - the quality of the leather is just fantastic and they are reasonably priced for their quality

Ideal is always a good make to have (probably what I'll be having when we finally get round to having a new saddle)

. My saddle fitter won't touch wintec with a barge pole

I would aim for an Ideal or Barnsby if I didnt have my momentum
