New saddle

I want to get my lad a new saddle in the new year, and i am trying to figure out how much money i need to scrap together to get him a decent 2nd hand leather GP saddle purchased and fitted? i have a saddle but its about 10yrs old in fair condition so i doubt any saddler would take that in part ex.

i am in the south east if that will make any difference.

you can buy gfs leather saddles brand new for around 600, I have the Pro VSD at the minute, but i am changing to the pro event as my knees are off the knee rolls!

If you have a look on saddles direct on the web, they have tonnes of second hand saddles and all the prices, so you should have a look to see how much you need to save

I would say at least £500. Cheaper saddles than that tend to have poor flocking or be older style, with an older design such as narrower gullets.

thank you £500 is what i was thinking roughly. i don't want to buy one of the internet as my lad is such a funny shape but thank you for the idea
