When I picked up loan shitland she came with 2 turnout rugs She may be old but she has a good 2-3 inches of coat and is always dry and toasty next to her skin whatever the weather.

once had a very long circular discussion with another livery about .............."if my horse has snow on his back and it has not melted he does not need a rug" he was part yak so to speak .........but it was a whole 60 min that i will never get back in my life, they nearly phoned the RSPCA

Ivan has been rugged the last 2 years, as I had to clip him in November because he was getting so hot and bothered. No way s he getting rugged when he has full winter woolies on - hes like a little hot water bottle under the fluff! I don't know if Duncan is warm or cold, as he thinks I'm trying to kill him if I investigate. I suspect that he's lovely and warm too. Hes never worn a rug in his life, and I don't think hed ever forgive me if I tried to put one on him!
