im hopeing that you can give me some help im running a local show next year, in aid of beast cancer and the local horse rescue centre what i would like to know what you all would like to see at a local show and what classes you all would like to enter it would help me with my schedule give me some idea what people would like to do. I want people to have a good day and go home feeling they have been to a good show but most of all raise money for these good causes. Thanks for replying.

When my daughter goes to local sj shows they usually start with a Clear Round competition, then they have different height classes and somewhere in the middle they have a pairs class which seems popular.

fancy dress (note top of the list)
one the judges would most like to take home
the ones where you have to do obsicals(sp)
gymkanas
jumping
tack and turn out
thelwel(sp)
film star quality

i think its a great idea btw!

Plenty of fab rosettes (maybe pink for breast cancer) perhaps one to all that take part? Of course this would have to be taken into account when deciding entry fees. Try and keep the entry fees reasonable. you could ask for sponsership from local business's for each class. Our local show offers a rosette and sash for about £40 sponsership I think children in particular love to come away with a rosette even if they have'nt been placed. Class ideas; Best Snapshot, handsome gelding, heavy's and hairy's, prettiest mare, coloured class. Try and keep the emphasise on FUN. Good luck.
