new splints

hi can anyone help me my horse has recently got a splint it i still hot and active she goes lame on flexon test on that leg is there anythink i can pot on it to setle it down

I think applying Cold is probably the best for splints. Cold hose it and put like ice or some clay like that on it. I tried Splintex before on a couple of mine but it didn't seem to do anything. Some splints just take longer than others to settle.

Just make sure you don't do any work with him until splint has fully hardened and settled and he is 100% comfortable on it. Otherwise you will just drag out how long it takes to resolve.

Hope it settles quickly mbp. What about the cold gel bandages? Would they be any good? Hugs.
