Ok lads very important as this is permanent 😂
Would love some tattoo ideas
It will be of Judy’s head and neck
I love colour and will include my previous two for reference
Want to tie them together somehow
Bears tattoo is kinda nature themed with the lightening and the roses are a galaxy kinda colour theme
Any ideas?
Bear and Judy will be on same leg both on the thigh so can link them with some bits between or leave gaps between
Tried to find some good headshots of Judy so tattoo artist can add as much detail as possible
Opinions on which headshot is best too are most welcome ❤️

Personally, I think horses are really hard to get right, especially for someone working from a picture and not the real thing, using a tattoo pen on skin.

I would go for maybe a silhouette?
He did bear really well and he has a lot of experience so I’ll trust him if he thinks he can do her justice but if he wants to come back a bit from that level of detail I’ll listen to him

Honestly I would try to get better photos for him to work from. In almost all of those there is perspective distortion and I find that tends to get amplified by tattoo artists. Phone camera lenses are particularly bad for it. Take a look at some equine photography pages and see how they get the best shots. You don’t want an amazing tattoo from an average or distorted photo that makes parts of her look out of proportion. Try to get one that captures both the expression that is the most ‘her’ and has the best

She died last year unfortunately

Oh I’m so sorry, I didn’t realise. I apologise. In that case go with the one that your heart feels her the most in. I really like the bitless bridle one, but whichever you think captures her expression the best.

Will it work having one fairly large image merging into the other on the one leg? Will it look overly busy?
Planning to have opposite sides of the thigh
I can hardly see bear if I’m looking down at my leg
He’s very much on the side so I can have them completely separated
For some reason all my tattoos are on my left side but defo open to putting it on my right

Personally I like picture 4 with the red sky behind, it is sort of mystical.

True but if you get a good tattooist who can do more than a picture, as it get the features and character, then you get a winner. My first one was 99.9% accurate and I know it is her, the second one with a different tattooist wasn't as good.

Oh wow! That is stunning! I have to say I am not a great fan of large tattoos (despite one of my sons was a tattoo artist lol!) but that is beautiful. Are you pleased with it? How many hours? 😍
Thank you!
I love it looks just like her
I think he did her eye just perfect
Only 3 hours he’s super fast it’s amazing

My tattoo artist wanted to keep it simple just to get as real as possible
He did fab ❤️View attachment 163018
Let me start off by saying I AM a tattoo person - I have over 20, some of which are fairly big.

But...

- I'm not the biggest fan of black/grey work, though I have seen some that is really good.

- I'm not the biggest fan of 'real life' work from photos, as almost always, it comes out not quite right, and for a permanent memento, not quite right is not good enough.

However, yours just blows those two qualms away - that's absolutely, stunningly beautiful, and I don't think I've ever seen a real life, at least a horse one, as well done as that.

Congratulations, and I hope your artist uses that photo far and wide to show off, as it's a wonderful piece of art ❤️

I have to agree I prefer mine to have colour and all the rest do but my artist said he wanted to make it as real as possible and thought colour would ruin it so I trusted him

So so happy I did he is absolutely amazing!
