I went cubbing last year, and am hunting later on again this week ... what should i wear (i am under 18) and anyone got any major do's or don'ts!!!!!? Thanks

You should be fine too wear what you wore autum hunting, mainly as long as you are clean, tidy and workmanlike you will be fine, ie no bright colors, pony and tack clean, hair in a hairnet if long enough!!! Is best to check with the secretary and you should also let them know if you are goin out as well, or are you goin out under pony club??

DO's - ring the secretary and make sure that visitors are welcome on the day you wish to go (some hunts limit numbers)
make sure your horse is fit enough or at the very least that you are prepared to go home early when he gets tired.
make sure you say good morning to the master(s) and find the secretary on arrival at the meet
always turn your horse to face the hounds when they come past.
DON'Ts - forget to say good night when you're leaving the field to go home
don't get in front of the field master
don't trample or kick hounds
don't be afraid to have a go. you can always make apologies later!
as you're under 18 you should be in a shirt and tie with tweed, but if you're nearly 18 then a white/cream stock and black/navy jacket, or a coloured stock and tweed jacket is fine. Stock pin is always horizontal unless you're hunt staff. always cream jods. black boots or black boots and gaiters (not chaps).

Thanks for your help! I am wearing my tweed jacket - is a pony club tie OK even though im not in the pony club?? I ride someones horses for them and they have hunted for years so am going with them - so hopefully well looked after!!!! Will let you know how its goes tomorrow!!!

I would think it should be ok to wear a pc tie, it is better to wear one than not wear one anyway, make sur you also have enough layers on!! Who are you hunting with?

What do you normally wear under your jacket? i was thinking of wearing a thermal, and another longsleeve top as well as tights under my jods, but thenagain don't want to get too warm

I normally wear two stock shirts and a v neck then my hunt jacket, and sometimes tights or leggings under my jodphurs, my shirts are moisture wicking which helps if u have got a little hot!! Also wear gloves, is prop best too be on the warmer side rather freezing, at least that is what I prefer!!
